- Co-Parent Counseling
Co-parent counseling is often necessary for married couples faced with a stressful family situation or for ex-spouses following a divorce. Whether married or not, couples often have problems communicating. In a divorce situation, communicating problems are often compounded by stressful transitions between homes and unresolved parental conflict. Research clearly indicates that parental conflict is a major contributor to future maladaptive interpsersonal relationships and maladjustment to parental divorce. An important aspect of co-parent counseling is identifying and resolving this conflict.

- Divorce Counseling & Recovery
Divorce is a multilayered and complex process that ends your emotional, financial, and legal relationship with your spouse. It entails learning to navigate life as a single person and the re-negotiating of relationships with family, friends, and social institutions. It is a time of extreme stress that can compromize your health and well-being. (Studies indicate that divorcing spouses have a rate of serious illnesses twelve times that of married spouses.) It may take three to five years to complete the grief process and resolve anger, blame, and resentments. Our goal will be to reflect and understand what happened in your relationship, identify and accept your contributions to the problems, and make peace with the experience - so that you can move forward.
